Do not interfere with Thrive RN assignments. Real time tracking of assignments are available on the Google sheet.
Patient's will be assigned based on seniority (ie. the per diem or most junior MD will get the first patient assignment). If the most senior MD is "skipped" during current hour, they will be given the first assignment the next hour for parity. Example: MD's A, B, and C are on at 6 am. A and B are assigned 1 more patient each before 7. The next patient after 7 goes to MD C.
Physicians must wait until 1 hour prior to end of shift before signing out. Sign outs will not be permitted at the 2 hour cut off. If imaging (CT/MRI/US) has been scanned into TeleRad by the 1 hour mark prior to end of shift OR has been completed during daytime radiology hours, physicians are expected to stay and wait for formal read and disposition.
Sign outs will be given credit if they require reassessment and/or medical decision making. Credit will not be given for “Psychiatric" patients (waiting for PET/transfer) or “Social” patients (waiting for AM discharge, MTF, PT eval in the morning, etc). However, if the Psych/Social patient ends up being a lot of work, then inform Thrive RN to obtain credit for it at that time.
